When I painted “Angel” I really wanted to portray the loyal, loving devotion that these beautiful dogs have towards their family when they are bred and raised by ethical, responsible people.

Unfortunately not all American Staffordshire Terriers and Pit Bull Terriers are as lucky as “Angel” and don’t always end up in responsible homes.

The Mayanup Campdraft is an annual event that I was so pleased to be able to go and watch this year. Despite the dust which made shooting very difficult at times, and the odd cow that decided to try and jump the arena fencing right where I was standing, I managed to get some pretty good shots of the action. SOUTH WEST PHOTOGRAPHY: Portrait, Event, Landscape and Fine Art Photography Prints

Willy Wagtails (Rhipidura leucophry) are the largest and most well known of Australia’s fantails. Found throughout mainland Australia, the wagtail name for these striking black and white birds stems from the constant sideways ‘wagging’ of their tails. I found this little Willy on the banks of the Blackwood River near my home and couldn’t resist turning him into a work of art.
