Portrait Commissions are available in both Traditional and Digital Art Mediums.
Traditional Oil Paintings:
Heirloom quality original oil paintings are created using the finest quality oil paints, mediums and canvas. Nothing can compare to the luxury and prestige of commissioning an original oil painting. Oil paintings require the longest time to create and cannot be shipped until they are completely dry so please allow up to four to six months for completion.
Traditional Graphite Pencil and Charcoal Sketches:
Traditional black and white pencil sketches are an elegant alternative to full colour portraits, and can be created in a range of sizes to suit every budget. Graphite pencil and charcoal portraits require less time to complete than portraits in other art mediums and are an affordable option for pet portrait commissions.

Digital Paintings:
A very affordable alternative to traditional Oil Paintings, digital portrait paintings are hand created pixel by pixel using sophisticated, real medium emulation software and a pressure sensitive graphics tablet (the canvas) and an electronic stylus (paintbrush). The process of digital portrait painting is very similar to using traditional art mediums and I use the same skills and techniques that I have developed from over thirty years of working with traditional art mediums. These paintings take many hours to complete, and are NOT computer generated by a few clicks of a mouse, nor are they mere Photoshop effects. I rely on my many years experience with traditional ‘real’ art mediums to create digital paintings, from the initial sketch to the final composition, colour selection and unique brush strokes that identifies my artwork as my own, irrespective of which medium I create with. Digital Paintings are printed by a professional print laboratory using genuine pigment inks and museum grade fine art papers and canvas that is the highest quality available in Australia.
VIEW DIGITAL PAINTING EXAMPLES
All of the artwork, irrespective of which medium is used, is completed personally by myself, I do not use the services of graphic designers or sweatshop painters from China.
