The Same But Different – Autism Awareness Photography Competition

I’ve entered this photo into the inaugural “BLUEprint” Go Blue for Autism Awareness Photography Competition.

The colour blue is used to mark the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day. The competition brief was to capture what ‘blue’ means to you.  It could be something seen in a mood, colour, occasion, outlook or thought.  I tookthis photo in 2010 at the end of a special day spent with my family at Yallingup in Western Australia.  As my husband and two of our three children are on the Autism ASpergers spectrum, this photo really represents the shades and depth of Autism in my life and shows to me just how much, like these shades of blue, we really are all “The Same but Different”.
